Oakley’s Scout Troop 152 went on the adventure of a lifetime this past summer, taking a Big Trip that took the Scouts and their leaders to national parks and historic monuments throughout the Western United States.

The 12-day excursion encompassed visits to Custer State Park, Wind Cave National Park, Mt. Rushmore, Jewel Cave National Park, Homestake Gold Mine, Devils Tower, Yellowstone National Park and many other locations in South Dakota, Wyoming and Utah. The participating Scouts included Seth Dike, Wyatt Dike, Jake Hansen, Tanner Howard, Ryan Ichigaya, Travis Karbowski, Josh Leiss, Eric Lim, Will Lutz, Daniel Melot, Brian Ouellette, Andy Rodriguez, Michale Schindler, Braeden Scheer, Kyle Scheer, Frank Tanner and Joe Tanner. Scoutmaster Jeff Lim, Assistant Scoutmaster Kevin Lim, Committee Chair Lori Scheer, Assistant Scoutmaster Earl Tanner and Adult Committee Member Tammey Tanner supervised the trip.
