Robert “Bobby” Ortiz, 58, passed away on July 22 at his home in Fairfield, Ohio. SP4 Ortiz, United States Army, served his country with honor. He was a member of AMVETS #2, American Legion #138 and the Eagles Lodge #407. Bob was also the lead singer in the Forest Fire Band until his illness.

Survivors include two daughters, Evelyn Bonar and Luisa Kinch; two sons, Robert “Bobby” Ortiz and Kurk Tovar; eight grandchildren, Kateland, Karrie, Klowie, Robert Ortiz, Gabrielle, Serenity, Sierra and Thomas Kinch Jr.; mother of his children, Michele (Frederick) Brown; and girlfriend of 15 years, Sharon Graves.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister. He is also survived by five sisters, Julie Ortiz Lefler, Jessie Diaz, Connie Guzman and Lupe Murphy, all of Brentwood, Evelyn Ortiz of Antioch, and one brother, Richard Ortiz of Brentwood, plus many nieces and nephews.

Funeral and burial arrangements were handled by Colligan Funeral Home in Hamilton, Ohio.
