The Brentwood Parks and Recreation Department hosts Scarecrows in the Park on Friday, Oct. 19. Scarecrows designed by East County residents will be on display in City Park through Oct. 26, and awards will be given to the best non-professionally and professionally designed scarecrows. The entry fee per scarecrow is $15; the registration deadline is Friday, Oct. 12. Winners will be announced on Oct. 26 prior to a presentation of Movie in the Park.
