Seen in Washington

That Discovery Bay residents Ethel and Colin Brodie would come across the Discovery Bay Country Club doesn’t sound too remarkable – except that they happened to be in the state of Washington at the time. They took their Hometown Weekly Newspaper on a trip to the Pacific Northwest and suddenly found themselves right at home. “It’s really just a crossroads with a gas station and general store,” wrote Ethel. “But it does have a golf course!” – which is more than their East County hometown could say for itself a mere 30 years ago.
