A hardy group of Brentwood mountaineers recently hauled their Hometown Weekly Newspaper up Yosemite National Park’s iconic Half Dome, a 17-mile round trip requiring 4,796 feet of elevation gain.

Raring to make the final assault along the cables, from left, are David Yetter, Kathy Smith, Wanda Hill, TJ Hill, Karla Hill, Dave Smith and Sandy Yetter.
