Brentwood resident Anthony Pigati took his Hometown Weekly Newspaper on a recent backpack adventure in the Sierra Nevada Range with brother-in-law Gary Degrandmont. The two rugged outdoorsmen climbed to an elevation of more than 10,000 feet on the Pacific Crest Trail. “During a trip like this, our packs run about 50 pounds each,” said Anthony, “and even though we try to cut out all unnecessary weight, we were sure to bring a copy of the Brentwood Press.” Thanks, guys, for doing the heavy lifting.
