Sue Walburg-Smith and Jacob Smith – mother and son – took their Hometown Weekly Newspaper on a three-hour drive east of East County to Yosemite National Park, where they made a nearly 12-hour round-trip hike to the granite fortress known as Half Dome. They’re seen here with the Brentwood Press at the top, 8,835 feet above sea level. Thanks, Jacob and Sue. We’re glad you did the climbing for us.
