The Mark DeSaulnier campaign for Congress reports that Solano County Supervisor Linda Seifert has endorsed State Sen. DeSaulnier for Congress. Seifert joins other community leaders and elected officials in support of DeSaulnier for Congressional District 10, including former Congresswoman Ellen Tauscher, Congressman George Miller, Assemblyman Tom Torlakson, Contra Costa County Susan Bonilla, all members of the Antioch City Council, all members of the El Cerrito City Council, and all members of the Pleasant Hill City Council.
“I am proud to endorse Senator Mark DeSaulnier for Congress because he has an extensive record of service to the people of Solano County,” said Seifert. “Mark has fought for the people of Solano County and has proven himself to be a leader on important issues facing Solano County, including transportation, the environment and healthcare.”
“I am greatly honored to receive the endorsement from Supervisor Seifert for my campagin for Congress,” said Mark DeSaulnier. “I have worked to promote the health and well-being of communities in Solano County and will continue to fight for increased access to healthcare and affordability for all families in Solano County and in District 10 when I am in Congress.”
DeSaulnier, a Democrat, has been endorsed by more than a dozen local labor unions and more than two dozen local elected officials. He is a candidate for former Congresswoman Ellen Tauscher’s seat in the 10th Congressional District. Tauscher retired from Congress in June.
