Workers from McGuire Pacific Contractors install a new Highway 4 sign along Marsh Creek Road near Byron Highway. Last month, transportation officials announced that the thoroughfare formerly known as the Highway 4 Bypass would simply become State Route 4. The old Highway 4, which went through Brentwood and Oakley, was turned over to those cities. Signage along Highway 4 should be completed by the end of April.
