Jane Crockett has been named Oakley’s 2009 Citizen of the Year and will be honored at a gala event on May 22 at City Hall.

The Oakley resident is an active member of the Redmen/Pocahontas service organization and a longtime supporter of countless community and volunteer events.

The Citizen of the Year event will be held May 22 from 6 to 11 p.m. and is open to the public. Tickets are $50 and can be reserved by calling 925-625-1035.
