The East County Military Family and Friends and Warrior Watch Riders are hosting the inaugural Troop Fest on Saturday, Oct. 2 from 1 to 11 p.m. at Straw Hat Pizza, 3001 Delta Fair Blvd. in Antioch. Proceeds benefit services for returning combat veterans and their families. Straw Hat will donate a portion of its sales to the cause.

Troop Fest is an opportunity to celebrate hardworking service men and women, veterans and the families and communities who love and support them.

The free event features live music, a silent auction, face painting, a bouncy house and a car and motorcycle show. No entry fee is charged for cars and bikes. Trophies will be awarded for Mayor’s, People’s, and Veteran’s/First Responder’s favorites. Vendor booths are available for $30.

For more information or an entry form, call Josie Monaghan at 925-642-7537 or e-mail ecmilitary@yahoo.
