I noticed in today’s paper that Sheriff Rupf will not run for his position again. However, a couple years ago the Sheriff did comment he may run for Supervisor in the next election. The District III seat may have a run for it’s money as I understand a few Far East County citizens will run. It will be interesting to see if the Sheriff rides into the sunset or continue serving Contra Costa Citizens.
