One of the most impressive fall teams in the area, Deer Valley High’s girls varsity golf squad has expanded its win streak to 52 with a victory last week over Heritage.

The Wolverines’ Haley Edwards and the Patriots’ Megan Condor tied for the low score, shooting a 42 on the par 37 Lone Tree Golf Course. Deer Valley’s Taylor Cover carded a 44, Melissa Wilkerson finished with 45, Taylor Robbins shot a 49 and Christina Gonzales a 54.

The win advanced the Wolverine record to 5-0. Deer Valley will try to keep the staggering streak going when it travels to the Sunol Valley Golf Club on Monday for the Bay Area Championship. The Wolverines will return to Bay Valley Athletic League play with a match at Shadow Lakes Golf Club in Brentwood against Freedom on Tuesday at 3 p.m.
