Last Saturday, my daughter and I participated in the Marsh Creek Trailway clean up… part of the state wide event.  I gotta say… I was disappointed at the lack of participation for this event.  As a member of this community, I believe it is my responsibility to help maintain and IMPROVE my area.  I wonder why this isn’t true for others… Come on people, get involved… take part… we all need to be responsible.  I hope to see many more people at next years event….

I’d also love to see an organized clean up in the Marsh Creek Trailway Waterways [not sure what is the proper name for that…].  I enjoy riding my bike on that path and am ALWAYS amazed at the junk that is thrown in there… anyone know of an organized effort or clean up there????

Antioch will have 2 locations this year Red Caboose/Fulton shipyard Road & Antioch Marina Area. 9 a.m. – 12.p.m.

Lots of shopping carts and other strange things are sure to be discovered.

Starbucks will provide free coffee in the morning

The Sun rose at 6:17 this morning, and Leia and I ran the 4.5-mile Hardy Canyon/Miwok loop at Round Valley, pushing off the trailhead at 6:07. Miraculous dawn, ethereal scenery – but for one detail. To the person who left a crumpled Coors can smack in the middle of all that natural beauty: Knock it off. You’re giving your beer – and your species – a bad name.
