East County residents are invited to show their patriotism at the inaugural Veterans Day Appreciation Night, sponsored by the San Joaquin Yacht Club, 550 Riverview Place in Bethel Island.
The event, which takes place at the club Thursday, Nov. 11 at 4 p.m., features displays of participating veterans’ photos and memorabilia; a demonstration and explanation of the meaning behind flag-folding protocol; and dinner. Appetizers are served at 4:30 p.m.; the main course at 6. Dinner is $5 for veterans; $11 for non-veterans.
