One could tell by the happy faces on the families and young people – but some of us older ones also – that we were having a wonderful time at the Holiday on Ice rink.

The rink has been run independently by Lynn Roberts, Dirk Davis and their able staff, and I want to thank them personally for running such a great place to skate and enjoy recreation not available most of the year.

I would hope that next year she will have the financial help of the City of Brentwood, which should support recreation of this kind in the winter, and also the shops of The Streets of Brentwood that benefit from people coming to the ice rink and also shopping at the center. If they don’t get the needed support, the rink may be gone next year.
