Dedicated May 31, 1926, the memorial commemorates servicemen and women lost during World War I.
Members of the garden club later planted and continue to maintain the cactus garden surrounding the memorial.
Monthly garden club meetings are held the first Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m. in the Antioch Public Library.
