The East County community’s effort to support Brentwood 12-year-old Sydney Stone, who is battling the rare cellular disorder known as mitochondrial disease, continues in tomorrow’s fundraiser from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Willy’s Bagels and Blends, 1255 Second St. in Brentwood.

Willy’s will donate a portion of the day’s proceeds to Sydney’s Journey, the campaign to help the Stone family pay Sydney’s medical bills as well as increase awareness of mitochondrial disease. The event features a raffle for a basket of San Francisco Giant’s memorabilia. Bright green bracelets for the Sydney’s Journey effort will be on sale for $5. Sydney also plans to make an appearance at the event to thank her supporters.
