Members of the Brentwood Advisory Neighborhood Committee, also known as BANC, are looking for the city’s most outstanding front yards as part of the committee’s Home of the Month program.

Beginning in April, one home in Brentwood will be selected each month to receive the honor of Home of the Month. BANC members consider homes exhibiting creative and beautiful landscaping as well as overall curb appeal when making their winning selections. Members meet monthly to travel to the winning home and present the winner with their award, which consists of a yard sign stating their winning status, coffee mugs, and a pass conferring parking privileges at The Home Depot.

While BANC members always have an eye out for winning homes, anyone can nominate a home for consideration by visiting the city’s website, www.ci.brentwood.ca.us, and clicking on the link for BANC.

The committee is also seeking businesses willing to donate prizes. Past donors include Perez Nursery and Brian Sharp Realty. BANC meets the second Wednesday of the month at 6 p.m. in the Brentwood Education & Technology Center, 101B Sand Creek Road, and is currently accepting new members.
