A group of Marsh Creek Elementary students will represent Brentwood at the Odyssey of the Mind California Finals later this month.

The Extreme Mouse Mobiles Team, coached by Scott and Winnie Kubik, includes members Eryn Lafferty, Julia Gonzales, Haley Williams, Juli Kubik, Jesse Doyle, AJ Tinio and Dane Winding. The team placed first in its division at the regional tournament last month, beating 11 other teams, and will continue on to the state tournament at Heritage High School in Brentwood on Saturday, March 26.

The team has been working hard on its challenge since November. Each Odyssey of the Mind challenge involves creating a solution to a given problem and presenting that solution within a student-designed, eight-minute performance. Team performances are judged on technical merit, creativity and style. Students from Krey Elementary, Brentwood Elementary and Adams Middle School have also been invited to the state tournament.
