James was born in New Orleans, La. to Edward and Gladys Landry. He passed away peacefully on Feb. 9, 2011 due to heart-related illness.

A retired mechanic, James was an avid fisherman who loved the outdoors and just being out on the water. He loved music and was gifted with the ability to play any instrument he picked up. He also worked as a chef for several years in the San Francisco area.

James served six years in Vietnam, where he received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal with Devices and the Vietnam Service Medal.

A Celebration of Life, including full honors. was held on March 18. James was loved by many and will be missed dearly. In lieu of flowers. donations may be made to www.fullhonor.com.
