Professional photographer Beth Witrogen takes you on a digital tour of her favorite locations in Contra Costa County for shooting images that inspire love of the outdoors. The session is held May 5 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at REI in The Streets of Brentwood lifestyle center.

Witrogen’s stunning photos of white pelicans, sandhill cranes, herons and hawks will expose attendees to the rich birdlife of preserves such as Contra Loma Reservoir, Big Break Regional Shoreline and Los Vaqueros Reservoir. Enjoy spectacular vistas and wildflower displays in parklands such as Mount Diablo, Black Diamond Mines, Round Valley and Carquinez Shoreline. Learn pointers from a pro on how to successfully photograph nature’s treasures.
