Through the Antioch-based organization Parents Connected, 34 local high school students went on a tour of 12 Historically Black Colleges and traditional colleges over spring break, such as Morehouse, Spellman, Florida State, Texas Southern, Prairie View A&M, Houston, Xavier and Dillard. Of the 34 students who went on the tour, 14 were admitted to college. Parents Connected is a group of Antioch parents bridging the informational gap for students looking to further their education after high school.
