Antioch police this week arrested two men suspected of attempted homicide in connection with a March 6 shooting in the 2800 block of Gentrytown Drive.
According to a press release from Acting Lt. Diane Aguinaga, Modesto resident Keenan Lawson, 25, was taken into custody on Monday during a search of his Modesto home. A firearm was found in his vehicle. Antioch resident Jjuan Sanders, 30, who was also involved in the shooting, was apprehended by the Antioch police on Wednesday.
On March 6 at approximately 1:54 a.m. on Gentrytown Drive, multiple shots were fired at a vehicle driven by a 51-year-old male Antioch resident. The victim was not injured.
Earlier that evening, police report that the three men were at a local nightclub when they ran into each other unexpectedly. The victim was allegedly involved in a bad break-up with a female relative of Lawson and Sanders, who are cousins. The three engaged in an argument until the victim left.
