Diablo Vista Dental Center opened its office on Oakley’s Main Street almost eleven years ago, and the office has mirrored the city’s growth. “It’s been nice to grow in this community and nice to watch it grow with us,” said Office Manager Rebeca Gamon.

The staff of Diablo Vista Dental Care, headed by husband and wife dentistry team of Dr. Omid Fard and Dr. Ellie Dary, is staffed by two full-time dental hygienists plus dental assistants and office support. According to Gamon, one thing that sets Diablo Vista apart is its full-service dental care. Most dental offices offer only general dentistry, and refer out to other doctors for procedures such as root canal and oral surgery. Diablo Vista provides those services in-house.

Technology at the office is state of the art. “We’ve invested in technology that we believe will benefit our patients,” Gamon said. Traditional X-rays have been replaced with PaX-Reve3D digital radiography, an award-winning dental imaging machine that exposes patients to up to 90 percent less radiation than traditional X-rays. All images are digital, reducing wait times for film developing, and can be instantly viewed from any computer in the facility. The images are finely detailed and help doctors better prepare for surgery and fit implants more accurately.

Diablo Vista’s dedication to state-of-the-art technology is evident throughout the practice. Every treatment room features a computer plus a camera and large monitor on which patients can watch staff work in their mouth. Don’t worry – more squeamish patients can choose to watch a movie or listen to music instead.

The office is dedicated to providing a friendly, cozy environment. Nitrous oxide is complimentary. The practice specializes calming fearful patients and offers conscious sedation, a procedure involving a medication that allows the patient to be relaxed but able to comply with commands.

Diablo Vista Dental Care offers flexible payment options. “Our goal is to keep the out-of pocket for our patients as low as possible,” said Gamon. The office accepts dental insurance in addition to cash, check or major credit cards. Financing options are available through third parties, including Care Credit and Chase Health. Gamon noted that the office plans to add another member to the office staff.

Diablo Vista Dental Center is always accepting new patients. The office, located at 3631 Main St. in Oakley (between Second and Third streets), is open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Wednesdays and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; closed on Mondays and weekends. The telephone number is 925-679-999 and the website is www.dvdental.com.
