Thousands enjoyed the fun – not to mention mouth-watering maize – at this year’s Brentwood CornFest, held last weekend. What started as a small festival has blossomed into the city’s signature event, attracting throngs from all over the Bay Area. At top, Oakley resident John Reynolds gets an earful. Middle, CornFest chairman Dirk Ziegler takes a spin in the Ferris wheel overlooking the festival’s grounds. Bottom, a group of CornFest patrons take in one of the most popular events of the three-day festival: the Friday night fireworks spectacular.
