Editor:

The main difference between government and free enterprise is the manner in which revenues and expenses are dealt with. In business, when expenses exceed revenues, costs are reduced.

In government, the answer is always the same: raise taxes. The tax campaign is always accompanied by threats of eliminated or reduced services if the taxes are not approved.

We are already overtaxed and we don’t want more taxes. Period. Government officials at all levels must learn that and start managing.
