My family and I have lived here for over six years and it’s been nice, not as crowded as the South Bay, where we moved from. We even had a third child here and we are part of the Brentwood Union School District and take advantage of all the kid/family friendly activities that Brentwood has to offer.
In my opinion, I challenge everyone who has a neighbor to ask yourself if you’ve been a good neighbor lately. Are you considerate enough to pick up after your pet so the neighbors don’t have to step or roll their infant’s stroller through animal feces that is left all down the nicely manicured, beautifully shaded walkways? Or are you aware as a good neighbor that the quiet neighbors are quiet because they are considerate of you?
Letting fido bark, whine, growl at all hours of the day, especially in the warm months when everyone probably has their windows open, isn’t the nicest thing to do. Laws, code, and just plain common courtesy have been engraved into us from our earliest years. When laws, code, and common courtesy are not followed, chaos reigns in communities.
Brentwood is a pleasant place. My family and I enjoy peace and quiet after a hectic work week and we enjoy a stroll or bike ride where we don’t have to dodge fido’s feces. And we enjoy Brentwood summer evenings in our backyard where dog barking is banned.
Be a good neighbor and keep Brentwood a great place to live. We are all in this together.
