Five Brentwood siblings were among the many East County representatives competing for the Dana Hills Swim Team who performed admirably at the recent Contra Costa County Championship Meet.

Stephanie Iannaccone, 6, placed third overall in the breaststroke for the Otters.

Scotty Iannaccone, 6, also placed in the top eight overall at the meet. Ryan Iannaccone, 10, was the high-point champion for his age group for the fourth time in five years and also broke the county record in the 100-yard individual medley. Ryan beat teammate Niklas Weigelt in the 100-yard-individual individual medley and also claimed first in the 50-yard backstroke.

Erick Iannaccone, 12, was the high-point champion for his age group at the county meet and claimed first in the 50- and 100-yard individual medleys for the boys 11-12 bracket. Alan Iannaccone, 15, swam the 100-yard backstroke and 100-yard fly and competed admirably, considering he’s at the bottom of his 18U age group. Alan also posted an outstanding swim season and broke the East Bay Athletic League junior varsity 100-yard backstroke record.

Overall, the Dana Hills Swim Team finished second in Division I.

In the 11-12 girls division, Allie Klingler placed second in the 100-yard individual medley and first in the 50-yard freestyle.
