U.S. Army Spc. Joseph A. Graves, a Discovery Bay resident and 2003 graduate of Liberty High School, was killed in July of 2006 while serving his country in Iraq.

The community is invited to honor Graves – and the other 661 soldiers, Marines, airman and sailors from California who gave their lives in Iraq and Afghanistan – at the fifth annual Joey Graves Memorial Golf Tournament on Monday Sept. 19 at the Discovery Bay Country Club.

Tournament proceeds benefit Some Gave All – The Joey Graves Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charity dedicated to helping support Gold Star Families by assisting with venues for healing and by providing opportunities to honor America’s brave men and women who have answered the call to duty and have made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms.

To register to participate in the fifth annual Joey Graves Memorial Golf Tournament or inquire about how you can help honor America’s fallen heroes, call Kevin Graves at 925-513-1313 or e-mail kevin@somegaveall.us.
