Ski boat poker to benefit schools

The second annual Ski Boat Poker Run takes to Discovery Bay waters this weekend – Saturday, Sept. 3. Proceeds benefit the Byron School District’s Odyssey of the Mind competition.

The event is open to boats of all sizes and participants of all ages. Attendees must be 21 to play a poker hand. The Run shoves off from Boardwalk Grill at 10 a.m. and returns there at 3 p.m.

Tickets ($25) include a hand of poker, lunch and a bag of freebies, plus entertainment, appetizers and a raffle ticket. For tickets or additional information, call 925-408-8332.
