E-waste helps education

Residents can help raise money for education by recycling their e-waste for free. The Liberty Union High School District Education Foundation, in conjunction with Blue Star Electronics, LLC, will be on hand at The Streets of Brentwood (in the parking lot behind Ulta) on Saturday, Sept. 10 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to collect e-waste.

Participants can bring computer monitors, LCD/LED monitors and TVs, plasma TVs, computers, hard drives, computer peripherals, laptops, DVD players, VCRs, printers, scanners, FAX/copy/answering machines, servers, radios, stereos, recorders, phonographs, circuit boards, CD/video/cassettes, CD players, calculators, power supplies, connectors/cables, telecommunications equipment, main frames/peripherals/all consumer electronics and minor/large appliances.

Batteries and light bulbs will not be accepted. Monetary donations are welcome. For more information on the Education Foundation, log onto www.educationwins.org.
