Delta Animals Safe Haven (DASH) is holding dog adoptions Fridays from 5 to 8 p.m. at Petsmart in the Slatten Ranch Shopping Center, 5879 Lone Tree Way in Antioch.

DASH dogs are taken exclusively from the Antioch Animal Shelter and are spayed or neutered, up-to-date on immunizations, and micro chipped. The adoption fee is $200, regardless if the dog is pure bred or a mutt.

DASH has placed its first dog, Molly, with a wonderful family whose children love her, take her for walks and play with her in a local park. The dogs currently in the DASH program can be viewed at www.petfinder.com. Click on Rescue Groups and type in Delta Animals Safe Haven.

DASH is seeking volunteers and funds in order to realize its plans to open a separate adoption center for shelter dogs and cats. In the meantime, foster families house the pets until a permanent home is found. For more information, visit www.deltaanimalssafehaven.org or call 925-219-0151.
