The program gives parents and caregivers the confidence to properly install their child’s safety seat on their own. To that end, the fire district employs seven nationally certified child passenger safety technicians who educate parents and caregivers about child passenger safety seats. Inspections take 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the seat and if errors are found.
