In celebration of Educator Appreciation Week (Oct. 15-23), Barnes & Noble will offer special discounts and promotions for pre-K through grade 12 administrators and educators.

Educators who shop at Barnes & Noble during Educator Appreciation Week will receive a 25-percent discount on all purchases, a 10-percent discount on DVDs and music CDs, a chance to win a NOOK Color and other prizes. A valid Barnes & Noble Educators Discount Card is needed to receive the discounts.

As a part of the Educator Appreciation Week celebration, Barnes & Noble in Antioch (5709 Lone Tree Way) will host special events and workshops focused on new NOOK eReader devices, as well other services for educators, including homeschoolers.

Barnes & Noble in Antioch will hold an open house reception on Thursday, Oct. 20 from 4 to 6 p.m., followed by a grant workshop. The event features information about NOOKs in the classroom, fundraising, the institutional discount program, and required/suggested reading lists.

Bookfair fundraiser workshops will be held Tuesday, Oct. 18 at 4:30, 6 and 7 p.m.
