Walmart would be an asset

In regard to Walmart coming in to our beautiful city of Brentwood, I for one feel Walmart would be a great asset in Brentwood and would help by filling the empty shopping center. And while yes, it’s true Walmart employees are not the highest paid, we need jobs for ourselves, our children to ease them into the work world, and for college (students) or retired adults.

As far as worrying about our small retail stores downtown, I’m tired of looking at the high-priced boutiques, antique and secondhand clothing stores. Boring! Brentwood needs options, please. I would be more concerned if there were more interesting stores downtown to worry about.

I was so disgusted when I discovered all the new downtown construction did not even open jobs for the Brentwood community – just so disappointing. Think about all the people out of work in our city. I would definitely apply at Walmart and would act like I work for Macy’s with pride. I struggle to find work here; I refuse to work over the hill with gas prices. It’s just not worth it.
