Antioch Police Chief Allan Cantando speaks about the drop in violent crime during the Chamber of Commerce’s Celebration of Antioch event last Monday at Humphrey’s on the Delta.

The event focused on the positives of being an Antioch resident. According to Cantando, violent crime from January through September of this year is down 16.2 percent compared to that time frame in 2010.

Other speakers included Mayor Jim Davis, Antioch Unified School District Superintendent Donald Gill and City Manager Jim Jakel.
