Road rage suspected in Brentwood stabbing

An adult male was hospitalized with life-threatening stab wounds Thursday following a road rage incident in Brentwood.

Lt. Tom Hansen of the Brentwood Police Department issued the following press release on the incident at 7:30 p.m.:

"On 11/10/2011, at about 3:10 p.m., Brentwood police officers responded to the 1200 block of Ironwood Drive for the report of an adult male who was suffering from several stab wounds. The subject was flown via helicopter to an area hospital with life threatening injuries.

"Our investigation revealed that the subject was involved in a road rage incident with another adult male. Both vehicles stopped in the area of Clearview Drive and Balfour Road, where a fight ensued. One of the subjects was stabbed multiple times. The stabbing victim returned to his vehicle and drove to the 1200 block of Ironwood Drive, where police and emergency personnel were summoned.
