Favorite Charity contest winner announced

Congratulations to Delta Animals Safe Haven (DASH) for being voted winner of The Press' Favorite Charity Facebook Contest.

In November, the Press asked the community to nominate its favorite 501(c)(3) nonprofits for the opportunity to win a free full-page, full-color ad (a $2,730 value) in all of the Press' publications. Hundreds voted, and as part of the prize, DASH will be profiled in an upcoming issue of the Press.

DASH is a co-operative adoption center for homeless animals in the Sacramento River Delta area, thereby reducing overcrowding in the only animal shelter in East Contra Costa County, the Antioch Animal Shelter.

Just to be clear, our GOAL is to open an adoption center so we can expedite animals out of the Antioch Animals Services. We need your help to make that GOAL a REALITY!!! Thank you!
