Payton Hoover, 5, helps sort food during the Brentwood Regional Community Chest Christmas Basket program last Friday. The program is in its 39th year, and as always drew hundreds of volunteers to sort, pack and distribute about 3,000 toys and 30 tons of food for more than 550 local families. Donors were also generous this year: the BRCC was able to assist eight other organizations helping local families through a tough holiday season.
