Among the many conservation and service projects undertaken by Oakley Cub Scout Pack 152 in 2011 is the pack’s recent adoption of Creekside Park, where each month the Scouts will pick up trash, pull weeds and keep the park clean and safe.

Earlier this month, the Scouts and their parents spent an hour collecting about 30 pounds of trash.

“It’s amazing to have so many young boys take part in and enjoy activities that help our community,” said Webelos leader Tahirih Roa. “It was a beautiful day and, as always, a great day for Scouting.”
