Cheetahs ready to run

The East County Cheetahs, a nonprofit youth track-and-field team, will hold an informational meeting and sign-ups this Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Antioch Community Park, 801 James Donlon Blvd.

Practices begin the first week of February; the team’s first meet is scheduled for March. The Cheetahs compete in Pacific Association USA Track and Field events and select Amateur Athletic Union meets.

The registration fee for the 2012 season is $425.
