A Brentwood-based group is hoping to promote sustainable lifestyles and the purchase of American products.

The Green Living Coalition holds a Gorgeous and Green Fashion Show on Saturday, Jan. 28 from 1 to 4 p.m. at award-winning Hannah Nichole Vineyards, 6700 Balfour Road in Brentwood. The event features wine, music, and stylish clothing made in the USA with sustainable products.

“You will see gorgeous and green fashions from local designers and artisans plus featured looks from Oak Street Boutique, Catwalk and Tummies to Tots,” said The Green Coalition organizer Sayra Flores. “You can learn how to build local sustainability right into your closet with Brentwood styles, USA labels and unique ideas that bring Brentwood fashion to life!”

“Sometimes I find myself with brand-new, untouched, tagged clothes in my closet that get sent to the garage without ever having been worn,” said The Green Coalition’s Carissa Pillow. “Many of my friends tell me that they feel guilty to admit those clothes go straight to the dump. This is neither green nor sustainable.”

The $10 admission to the Gorgeous and Green Fashion Show includes a glass of wine. To purchase tickets, visit one of the participating merchants or Hannah Nicole Vineyards, log on to The Green Living Coalition on Facebook or call Flores at 925-516-2614.
