Adams Middle School’s top spellers recently competed in the third annual Spelling Yellow Jacket. Students in grades six, seven and eight spelled off for a spot at the Contra Costa County Spelling Bee, to be held in Walnut Creek at the end of March.

This year’s AMS winners, from left, are seventh-grader Lyian Soria, third place; eighth-grader Bailey Kaczmarczyk, second place; and eighth-grader Isabela Angus, champion speller for the second year in a row. Congratulations to all!
