Oakley residents joined Mayor Kevin Romick and Councilmembers Pat Anderson, Carol Rios and Jim Frazier for a ribbon cutting ceremony that marked the completion of Phase II improvements to Holly Creek Park, which included the conversion of a 4-acre storm basin into a multi-use grass area.

Resident Kayla Reiss, 10, seen here with the council, was especially excited about the park’s reopening. “I’m so glad that this park opened on my birthday,” she said. “It has a nice lawn that kids can play on. I plan to run about and play tag.”

Nice to see the fences down! It's taken 17 years to finally complete the project. A Thank you to Ron Paris for getting the ball rolling years ago. If I recall, Ron was looking for monies put aside to establish the park which we were promised when we purchased our home. Good job Oakley.
