Stage Right Conservatory Theatre, Inc presents “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz,” the L. Frank Baum classic adapted for the stage by Tim Kelly. The curtain goes up Friday, Feb. 17 for three weekends of performances at the Nick Rodriguez Community Center, 213 F St. in Antioch.

Theatergoers of all ages are invited to follow the yellow brick road with Dorothy and Toto to the magical land of Oz, where they encounter all the famous characters from the beloved story: the cowardly lion, the tin woodsman, the rubber-legged scarecrow, Glinda the Good Witch and the Wicked Witch of the West.

Directed by Bryan Anthony, the production will be performed by alternating casts – one comprising actors 8-13; the other, actors 13-16. Performance are scheduled for Feb. 17, 18, 24, 25, and March 2 at 7 p.m.; Feb. 18, 19, 25, 26, and March 3 and 4 at 2 p.m. The final performance, slated for Sunday, March 4, will also be given a 6 p.m. performance. Tickets are $10 for adults; $8 for students and seniors; and $5 for children $5. Seniors pay only $5 for all Sunday matinees; students only $5 for the Feb. 18 shows.
