The Italian restaurant, which will become a landmark in revitalized downtown Oakley, has long been known as one of the best restaurants in East County, serving authentic cuisine for more than eight years at its current location on Lone Tree Way in Antioch.
Owner Manuel Muñoz, who comes from a family of restaurant entrepreneurs, has been in the culinary world for more than 20 years. “I have so many customers in Oakley, Brentwood and Discovery Bay,” Muñoz said. “I’m pleased to be able to bring our restaurant closer to them and be a part of the new Oakley downtown.”
The restaurant’s future building will be located on the corner of Main Street and Vintage Parkway. The Tuscan-style building will encompass nearly 6,000 square feet, provide indoor and outdoor seating, a full bar and the capacity to accommodate special events and private parties of more than 100 guests on its second floor. Carpaccio’s is expected to open later this fall.
