Anne Forsyth, a longtime resident of the Bay Area, passed away peacefully on Feb. 17 at her home, surrounded by her immediate family.

Anne was born in Burton, Neb., where she grew up the youngest of seven on a rural farm. At the age of 12, her family moved to Gooding, Idaho. Anne pursued her passion of helping others by attending nursing school at St. Mary’s in Salt Lake City in 1953. In 1956, Anne began a rewarding, 35-year career as a surgery room supervisor in San Francisco.

After retiring from CMPC in 2001, she moved to Brentwood and continued to live life to the fullest. Anne lived in Summerset, where she had many close friends. She loved socializing and traveling. She enjoyed going to dinner and dancing and had a wonderful smile that could light up a room.

Anne is survived by her two daughters, Lori and Kathleen; and their husbands, Clint and Garry; and the rays of sunshine in her life: her grandchildren, Danielle, Haley Rose, Trey, Shane and Brooke. She is also survived by her former husband and friend, John Forsyth of Brentwood.

Private services were held at Bay Area Cremation and Funeral Services. Memorial contributions may be made to the Elizabeth Nash Foundation, P.O. Box 1260, Los Gatos, CA 95031.
