One of the most decorated water polo athletes in Heritage history will continue his career at Penn State-Behrend College in Erie, Pa. Goalie Ty Elder recently signed his letter of intent to become a Lion and plans to study electrical engineering. While Penn State boasts a competitive water polo team, the school also offers one of the highest-regarded engineering programs in the country. Elder, who owns all of the Patriots’ goalkeeping records, was drawn to the school’s small-town feel and the chance to play as a freshman.
