Having spent countless phone calls to another city in our area just trying to get a human to answer the phone, or even return a call, it was with some trepidation that I called the City of Oakley to have an abandoned couch removed from our street.
Imagine my surprise when I dialed zero and got a real breathing human who, when I asked what department I should contact to have it removed, stated, “Not to worry. I’ll call him and have it taken care of.”
Lo and behold, after lunch I looked out and the couch was gone. Way to go, City of Oakley. I’m glad I live here.
